Advent Resources

Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who lives and reigns with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen  -The Book of Common Prayer, Collect for the First Sunday in Advent

Sunday, December 2 marks the beginning of Advent this year.  If you are anything like me and are already anticipating this season of anticipation, I have compiled a few Advent resources that you may want to peruse before the first candle is lit. Since I have small children, I have included a few of my favorite Christmastime picture books as well.  Hope you enjoy.
