Happenings

We want to keep you up to date on what has been happening in the life of The Washington Institute.  Here are some of the things we've been involved in recently and events that are on the horizon.  We will update this periodically to keep you in the loop.  If you have any questions about any of these events or our programs or services, please don't hesitate to contact us - phone or e-mail work.  We would also appreciate your prayers for this work and for those who may be served along the way by God's grace.  As for us all, he is the worker and we have the privilege to co-labor with him.

January

July

June 29^th-July 3^rd, Steve taught at the first global Fellows Christian Leadership Forum in Oxford, England, with Chris Hancock, Director for Religion and Society in Asia. 

August

3^rd, Ray met with a local pastor for executive coaching on leadership

4^th-6^th, Steve spoke to the United Methodists Conference on the subject of a vision for renewal in the UMC. 

17^th-21^st, Steve spoke to the Covenant Seminary pre-academic year faculty and staff retreat, St. Louis, MO.

25^th-28^th, Steve spoke to the Mars Hill Graduate School faculty retreat in Seattle, Washington. 

28^th, Ray conducted executive coaching for pastor on leadership

September

8^th-10^th, with Dean Luckenbaugh, Executive Director of the Classical School Foundation (CSF), Ray met with the Headmaster, Dean of Faculty and Dean of Students, several faculty members and the Board of The Geneva School, a K4-12 flagship Christian classical school in Orlando, FL.  Discussion was on potential strategic partnerships with the Classical Schools Foundation, the Trinity Forum, and the Washington Institute

15^th-November 17^th, Steve begins teaching "The Church and the World" course at Reformed Theological Seminary, McLean Presbyterian Church campus, 7:30-10:00 on Tuesday evenings.

21^st Steve begins teaching "Reading the Word and Reading the World at the Same Time" for the Capitol Fellows Program at McLean Presbyterian Church, weekly through mid-December

24^th-25^th, Steve at the Comment Magazine Symposium in Dallas, TX
