WRLH, Great to read your precursor to the Lenten season. Good stuff! NT has been a hero of Sandy's and mine for quite some time so it's nice to be reminded of his thoughtfulness through that powerful little book. I'd love to catch up with you some time in the not-too-distant future if you are of a mind. How about a telephone call when you've got 10-15 minutes to chat? I can be reached at: 253.905.6882 (cell). Remember, please, that we are 5 hours behind EST so don't call too early. ;-) Hope to hear from you. Blessings. gsk

And the croevosatinn continued in Scottsdale, Arizona. So much to consider and talk about until late into the first of many challenging nights. I look forward to seeing a generational change manifested as a result of Tom Nelson and Amy Sherman’s books. How much more effective could us, servants, be if we carried His passion throughout our work and cities!

Thank you, Margie, for these loevly and comforting words in the midst of a busy and stressful season. I know, the season shouldn’t be so, but it is–therefore your words minister deeply to my spirit today. Thank you too, for your many writings over the years, some of which are in the book you mention, that have delighted, amused, comforted and challenged many of us. We love you.

Great thoughts, Bill. Interesting observation of different levels of light and symbolic meaning.
During the last Vocation seminar, there was a question regarding how was it possible for our current work to pass into the new earth if it is going to be engulfed, purged, destroyed? by fire. Well I was thinking about sources of light. Back when that passage was written, the only man made source of light was fire, natural sources were the sun, moon, stars and lighting. What if the purging or purifying act was accomplished through a great light (not fire). Light can engulf and eliminate "darkness" but it is also regenerative and life giving. Where a fire consumes, light can restore. Just a thought. Luther

Thank you for this kind, insightful message of hope. It is a comfort to my soul and a reminder that we don't truly know what the future holds and that God remembers us always.

Thank you. It is a gentle reminder of the important purpose of my work. I find myself needing this reminder everyday . . . the reminder that I am a part of something greater than a sale that I won or lost, or an idea that was accepted or rejected, or a decision that was good or bad. I hope that at the end of my working life I will be remembered as a man who effected the common welfare of the people around me in the workplace.
